Episode 12 – Tales of Micro Systems

This week on the Video Game Realness podcast, Delvin, James, Michael and Cameron discuss the news of the past week and have a discussion on micro systems such as Ouya, Steam Box and other entrants to the field such as Mad Catz.

We also talk about where Nintendo may take their hardware in the future in a possible “what if” scenario. To close out the show, Michael takes us through time as he talks about the past, present and future of the Tales of series and the history of Namco Tales Studio.

All this and an unforcasted drop of shade this week on Video Game Realness!

Show Notes:

  1. I’m really enjoying your show so far and am nearly caught up to your release schedule. You manage to be a lot of fun to listen to but still fit in a decent amount of gaming info.

I only have one minor niggle and since you bought up normalisation in this podcast I thought I’d put it here. Your podcast is really quiet! I have to use earphones at full blast rather than my phone speaker I prefer for listening to podcasts. I don’t know if you’ve upped the volume of subsequent podcasts if you’ve sorted out the normalisation but I have my fingers, toes and eyes crossed. Regardless though I will be listening as long as you are making them.

  2. Thanks so much for the great feedback! We truly appreciate and love that you’re enjoying it.

Our podcast is recorded a bit quiet and unfortunately we don’t have the best equipment at the time to record better lol… We are currently using Rock Band microphones and just using Garage Band on Mac, so super basic and super budget lol…

With that being said, we are gonna try what we can to improve it in future recordings in anyway possible !
